Former Oklahoma State walk-on running back Raymond Taylor is transferring to Tulsa as a graduate transfer and will be eligible immediately for the Golden Hurricane in 2016, according to a report from the Tulsa World’s Mark Cooper and Kelly Hines. Taylor started three games for the Cowboys in 2015 and emerged as a legitimate option in the backfield, rushing for nearly 300 yards after starting the season buried on the depth chart. Here’s what he said about his time in Stillwater via The Tulsa World: I’m very grateful for all the opportunities Oklahoma State has given me, and it’s amazing and I’ve actually been shocked at how helpful they’ve been throughout this whole recruiting process in getting papers sent back and forth and stuff,” Taylor said. “They’ve been so quick and great. I loved it there.Taylor definitely had some highlights during his time in Stillwater, capped by an impressive 2 touchdown performance in Lubbock last season, where he put the team on his back and carried the Pokes to a 70-53 win.Ultimately, playing time was really not there at OSU for the Wichita native, with Chris Carson and Rennie Childs returning, and Barry J. Sanders joining the program for this upcoming season. But fortunately, Taylor had his academics squared away, so he has an excellent opportunity ahead of him and could be a key cog for Tulsa in 2016.If you’re looking for the comments section, it has moved to our forum, The Chamber.
